Silverio Alvarez, PA

Silverio Alvarez is a local native to the Coachella Valley. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served honorably as a Military Medic for four years including a Deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his military service, he pursued higher education graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He then earned a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He finished his academic career earning a Master in Health Sciences as a Physician Assistant from Duke University in Durham, NC. Silverio is passionate about academia particularly Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) fields. His passion led him to teach as a collegiate professor of Anatomy & Physiology at our local College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA. He is also passionate about working for medically underserved communities, using his bilingual Spanish-speaking skills to teach a diverse population of patients. His hobbies include hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
